Martin Whiting’s book selections

Here are some of my favourite popular science books. Please feel free to rate and comment on any of these selections.

Here are my favourite books with a taxonomic slant.
These are books about the behaviour, ecology and
evolution of specific taxonomic groups, which in this
case includes ants, amphibians, snakes, lizards and
finches.

These are some technical books which I think are worth
a read (at least in part). As a PhD student, I slowly made
my way through Darwin’s On the Origin of Species.
At the time I felt that if I was getting a PhD in zoology, I
should read it.

And where would biology be without Gary Larson?

Science, reason and religion. These are all a great read.
They also make great christmas gifts.
