Research Interests:

For my PhD I worked on predator-prey relationships. In particular, the anti-predatory behaviour that prey display when foraging in a patch and have to deal with an approaching predator. This situation is qualitatively described by Ydenberg & Dill’s (1986) model, but there are no qualitative studies regarding the actual shape of the curves predicted by this model. For my PhD project, I worked on estimating  the shape of the curves of this model, which would validate (or reject) all the research done thus far using this model.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the Macquarie University land, the Wattamattagal clan of the Darug nation, whose cultures and customs have nurtured, and continue to nurture, this land, since the Dreamtime.  We pay our respects to Elders past, present and future.
