In recent years we have seen the description of new species of miniature frogs, fishes, salamanders and lizards. Frank Glaw, Jorn Kohler, Ted Townsend and Miguel Vences have just described four new species of Malagasy leaf chameleons (Brookesia) that are small enough to perch on the end of a match stick. Their paper was recently published in PLoS One (click on link to download the original paper for free).
